# Meeting summary

> A meeting summary captures in a few lines what was discussed, what was decided and what happens next. In CIRO NOISE it is created after a Google Meet call that has a transcript or Gemini notes, and each action item becomes a task in one click.

Writing up minutes after a meeting easily takes 20 minutes, and often nobody does it. In CIRO NOISE the meeting summary takes care of that. You find it in the Meetings feature on each meeting.

Meetings arrive from Google Meet through the Google Workspace connection, with duration and participants. CIRO NOISE never joins a call and records nothing itself. It reads the transcript that Google Meet creates, summarizes it and stores only the summary.

## How the meeting summary is created

If Google Meet has already created notes for the meeting, CIRO NOISE uses them. Otherwise the AI reads the transcript and writes the summary in three parts: what the meeting was about, which decisions were made and which next steps are due, each with the person responsible. Unclear passages are left out rather than guessed.

For conversations without a transcript, such as a phone call, you create the meeting by hand and write bullet points. The AI summarizes those as well, and your own notes stay below.

## From action item to task

The AI lists action items with an estimate of how important they are and suggests a board and an owner. One click turns an item into a task, and the meeting then shows the task's ID with a link. Anything already done or no longer relevant you mark as done or dismissed. Open items stay on your dashboard until they are decided.

## An everyday example

After Monday's weekly meeting, the summary lists three decisions and five action items. Kira turns the items into tasks, one click each. Pascal was at a client's and reads the summary in the afternoon instead of asking on Tuesday what he missed.

## Who can read the summary

For each meeting you decide who can read it: open to everyone with access to Meetings, restricted to authorized people, or private to participants only. Customer meetings attach themselves to the customer record through the participants' email addresses. When someone later asks the AI what was decided, it answers from the summary and cites the meeting as its source.

## Frequently asked questions about Meeting summary

### How does CIRO NOISE create a meeting summary?

After a Google Meet call, CIRO NOISE fetches the transcript through the Google Workspace connection. If Google Meet hasn't created notes, the AI writes the meeting summary with decisions and next steps from the transcript.

### Does CIRO NOISE join the call to create the meeting summary?

No. CIRO NOISE never joins a call or records anything; it uses the transcript from Google Meet. As with any recording, all participants should know that a transcript is being created.

### Does the meeting summary work with Zoom or Teams?

CIRO NOISE currently fetches meetings automatically only from Google Meet. Transcripts from other tools come in through the API, for example via Zapier. For other conversations you create the meeting by hand with bullet points, and the AI summarizes them.

### How does a meeting summary turn into tasks?

Each action item from the meeting summary becomes a task on a board in CIRO NOISE with one click, with an owner, and the meeting then shows the task's ID with a link. Items can also be marked as done or dismissed.
