# Software teams: From bug to release

> For development teams and software agencies: boards with sprints, bug reports with screenshots that arrive as tasks, a support form inside the product, technical docs in the wiki and an open API.

For development teams whose bugs arrive by email without a screenshot and whose docs live in a third tool. In CIRO NOISE, every bug report lands on the board as a task with screenshot and console. The support request, docs and sprint all share the same task number.

- Open API
- Servers in the EU

## Your team plans on the board and codes in the terminal

In sprint planning you estimate the tasks and assign them. Then the copying begins: open the task, gather context, paste it into the editor, update the status and write a comment. That adds up to dozens of clicks between board and code every day, and the board still rarely shows where you really are.

In CIRO NOISE you plan the sprint the way you’re used to, with effort in points, capacity from your last sprints, a goal and the burndown. Claude suggests what fits into the sprint and accounts for vacations. You make the decision in planning.

Then you tell Claude Code in the terminal “Take APP-142,” and Claude pulls the task from the board with its description, screenshot, console and comments. Claude implements the fix, moves the task to “In review” and adds the status as a comment. Board and code stay in sync without anyone updating anything by hand.

## How teams like yours use CIRO NOISE

Product team, software agency or support: everyone works on the same tasks, only the focus is different.

### Product team: Sprints everyone can read

Every product has its own board with sprints, a goal and effort in points. The forecast uses your pace over the last three weeks to show whether you’ll hit the goal.

- Subtasks, checklists and effort in Fibonacci points
- Sprints with burndown, goal with date and forecast
- Board log of who changed what and when, including through the API
- Keyboard shortcuts for status, priority and assignment

### Software agency: Clients report bugs from inside their app

You embed the bug reporter in your client’s application. Their reports land in the client project’s inbox, and in the project space they see when the bug is fixed.

- Bug reporter to embed in the client’s application
- Project space where the client sees tasks and docs
- Hours on the task, billed in one click
- Logins for servers and accounts in the encrypted vault

### Support and operations: The support request becomes the task

Support requests come in through the form, and the AI suggests a priority and a reply. If it’s a bug, you turn it into a task with one click, and the task links back to the request.

- Support form to embed or as a page of its own
- AI reply suggestions from your company memory
- Support portal for the customer, rating after resolution
- The AI drafts company memory entries from resolved requests for you to approve

## This changes for your team

Bugs, requests and docs share the same number, and nobody enters anything twice.

- **Every report comes with a screenshot**: Screenshot, page, device and an AI summary are attached to the task. You see right away which browser it was and don’t have to ask.
- **One number for everything**: APP-142 is the same task on the board, in the comment, in the support request and in the meeting. Global search jumps straight to it by number.
- **Support and development see the same task**: The request becomes the task, and when it’s done, support sees it. The customer sees the status in the support portal without having to ask.
- **Your tools stay connected**: Scripts and other systems create tasks through the API with API keys. Claude connects through MCP, the open standard for AI tools, with exactly the permissions you grant.

## A software team’s tools

Most development teams start with these five features. Through the API and Claude, you work with the same tasks from the terminal too.

- **Boards**: Short codes, sprints, effort, an inbox for reports from outside
- **Requests**: Support form in the product, support portal and AI reply suggestions
- **Wiki**: Technical docs, runbooks and decisions with versions
- **Knowledge & assistant**: “How do we deploy to staging?” – answer with a link to the docs
- **Meetings**: The planning meeting turns into tasks with names

## Tell Claude. CIRO NOISE records it.

### Triage the bugs

> Which bug reports have landed in the APP inbox since yesterday? Please suggest the critical ones for the current sprint and give them to Deniz.

The three checkout reports all come down to one bug: APP-142 “Checkout fails”. APP-143 and APP-144 are now nested under it. The console shows an invalid date in checkout.ts, line 212. Safari probably can’t read the delivery date there.

APP-142 is marked urgent and assigned to Deniz, since he changed checkout.ts in APP-131 nine days ago. At 3 points it still fits into sprint 14, which would bring it to 34 of 40 points. You can accept the suggestion on the board. The login and export reports stay in the inbox.

### Follow up

> The fix for APP-142 is merged. Please write the postmortem in the wiki, close the three reports and tell Lea what she can answer the customers.

The “Postmortem: checkout in Safari” is in the wiki: 38 hours affected, three reports, caused by the date format and fixed in PR #812. One of its two actions is now APP-151 “Parse dates in one place” at 5 points. APP-142 to APP-144 are done.

For Lea, this suggestion is on APP-142: “Thanks for your patience. The checkout bug has been fixed since 2:20 p.m., and orders in Safari work again.” In July, a similar bug also came with a coupon code. Whether you do that again is your call.

### Prepare planning

> Please prepare the planning for sprint 15. What's left over from sprint 14, who's out, and what came out of the retro?

The page “Planning sprint 15” is in the wiki. APP-139 export and APP-146 notifications carry over from sprint 14. Deniz is on vacation Nov 2–4, so I'm counting on 34 points instead of 40. Ana is out for half a day on Nov 6.

The retro produced three points: reviews within a day, Safari in the test matrix and on-call. The test matrix is now APP-156 for Ana. I suggest starting with APP-151 and APP-139. The team decides in planning.

## Every tool besides the code costs extra

Tasks, docs, support inbox, meeting notes, whiteboard and password manager: that’s 6 tools, 6 logins and 6 subscriptions. With CIRO NOISE, it’s one.

## Common questions from software teams

### How do bug reports with screenshots reach the board?

Through the bug flags in your app. Your app sends each report to CIRO NOISE with your API key. With that one call, it lands in the board inbox with screenshot, page, browser, console and an AI summary. You’ll find the code and a live example in the developer portal.

### Can we move over from Trello?

Yes. You bring Trello boards over with their export file. Recognized lists become statuses, others become labels, and checklists and comments go into the description.

### Can CIRO NOISE plug into our workflows?

Yes. Scripts and pipelines use API keys to create and comment on tasks through the API. Each key belongs to exactly one organization and has only the permissions you grant.

### Can Claude work directly on the board?

Yes. Claude connects to your organization through MCP, the open standard for AI tools. Claude then reads reports, sets priorities, plans sprints and comments. It works with exactly the permissions you grant when connecting. Claude can’t delete anything.

### How do we plan sprints?

With effort in Fibonacci points, sprints with a burndown and a goal with a due date and forecast. New reports land in the inbox above the board, where you accept and sort them. You set status, effort and assignee with keyboard shortcuts.

### What does it cost for our team?

The first two seats are free. Each additional seat is €25 a month plus VAT and can be canceled monthly. Wiki, support, time tracking and every other feature are included in the price.
