A deal, also called a sales opportunity, is an order you don't have yet but want to win. It has a title, a value, a stage and a date when you expect to close. That way you always see which business is within reach.
In CIRO NOISE you find deals in the Contacts feature under Deals. A deal usually belongs to a company and optionally to a contact person, and then also shows up in the customer record next to requests, quotes, invoices and meetings.
How deals work in CIRO NOISE
Every deal moves through fixed stages: Lead, Qualified, Proposal, Negotiation and finally Won or Lost. CIRO NOISE derives a probability from the stage, from 10 percent for a lead to 80 percent in negotiation. If you enter your own probability, yours applies until the deal changes stage.
Moving a deal to Won or Lost closes it, and moving it back reopens it. For lost deals you record the reason, so you can see later why orders slip away. Fixed stages keep your reports comparable over the years.
Connection to quotes and invoices
When a customer accepts a quote in the customer portal, the open deal of her company moves to Won by itself. When your team records the quote as declined, the deal moves to Lost with the quote number as the reason. This only happens when the company has exactly one open deal. If there are several, you decide in the record yourself, so nothing gets assigned to the wrong deal.
An everyday example
Ms Sommer from Brandt & Söhne asks about a website relaunch through the web form. Lena creates the deal “Website relaunch” worth €18,000 and sets it to Qualified. After the meeting she sends the quote and moves the deal to Proposal. Three weeks later Ms Sommer accepts the quote online, and the deal shows Won without Lena having to remember it.
Reports and permissions
The reports show your deals by stage and value. A separate permission controls who may see them, for example management only.
