Before an order is placed, you usually send your customer a quote. It lists the services, prices, tax and how long the offer is valid. In CIRO NOISE you find quotes under Finance › Quotes.
A quote there is the start of a chain. An accepted quote becomes an order confirmation, a delivery note and an invoice, without anyone retyping line items. Customer details come from the customer record, and the quote then appears in the record too.
How a quote works in CIRO NOISE
Every quote gets a sequential number while it is still a draft, such as AN-0017, so you can refer to it in conversation. You set the prefix in the invoice settings. By default a quote is valid for 30 days from its issue date, and you can change that too.
Line items come from your item catalog or as free text. You structure longer quotes into chapters with building blocks from the template library, designed in your brand kit. You can still edit an issued quote until the customer accepts or declines it, and the number stays the same.
Acceptance in the customer portal
Every quote comes with a link to the customer portal. There the customer sees the PDF and accepts the quote with a binding click. If her company has exactly one open deal, that deal moves to Won. A quote past its validity date shows as expired in the list.
Before you issue it, CIRO NOISE tells you if your tax number or the customer's address is missing. For a quote this is just a hint, but it helps, because the quote later becomes an invoice that needs these details.
An everyday example
Lena sends Brandt & Söhne the quote AN-0031 for €18,000, with chapters for concept, design and payment schedule. Ms Sommer reads it in the customer portal and accepts it the next day. Lena turns it into the order confirmation and, after the project, bills the billable hours from the tasks under Finance › Time.
