MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, the open standard for AI tools. It defines how an AI assistant like Claude talks to an application: which tools exist, what they need and what comes back. Think of the Model Context Protocol as USB-C for AI, one plug for many devices.
CIRO NOISE has a connector built on the open standard MCP. Once you add it to Claude or another AI tool, more than 50 tools from your organization are available: create tasks, write wiki pages, look up customers, prepare quotes as drafts, read meetings and check absences. The AI tool picks the tools it needs by itself. The connection is included in the price.
How the Model Context Protocol works in CIRO NOISE
When you connect, you sign in and choose which organizations the access covers. The consent screen shows what it may read or write, and the access never gets more than your own permissions. If it covers several organizations, every call names the one it means. You can revoke the connection at any time under AI assistants & API.
Through the Model Context Protocol, a connected tool can create, edit, move and comment on tasks, create and edit wiki pages, add companies and contacts, create pitch pages as drafts and decide your team's leave requests. Quotes and invoices are only ever created as drafts.
What the Model Context Protocol can't do
Some actions deliberately stay in the app, even where the open standard MCP would technically allow them. Only a person deletes wiki pages and tasks. Issuing, sending or dunning invoices and recording payments happen in the app only. The password vault, support requests and the DATEV export can't be reached through the Model Context Protocol at all. A connection never sees confidential knowledge, even if the person has that permission.
An everyday example
After the meeting with Winter GmbH, Deniz writes in Claude: "Summarize the meeting, create the tasks and prepare the quote." Claude reads the meeting through the Model Context Protocol, logs the conversation in the customer record, creates CIR-160 to CIR-162 on the board and drafts a quote. Deniz checks the draft and then issues the quote himself in CIRO NOISE.
