A member in CIRO NOISE is a person who works in your organization with their own account. Every member has two properties: a seat, which decides whether they work fully in the app or only log their hours, and a role, which decides what they may do in the features.
Customers who write to you through the support request form are not members and don't take up a seat. Only people who accept an invitation or created the organization themselves become members.
You see every member under Organization › Members. That is where you invite people, change role and seat, and remove members again.
How membership works in CIRO NOISE
Owners and admins invite new members by email and pick a seat and a role. An invitation is valid for seven days. While it is open, it already holds a seat, so a pile of invitations can't let in more people than you have seats for. Expired or withdrawn invitations free the seat again.
There are two kinds of seat. A full seat gives access to every feature the role allows and counts against the seats in your subscription. A time-tracking seat is free and limited to self-service: clocking your own hours, requesting leave, seeing your own file and reading the wiki, knowledge base and files. Owners and admins always need a full seat.
An everyday example
An agency of six has booked seven full seats. The owner invites the new working student with the role bundle Project work. Until he accepts, Plan & billing shows seven of seven seats occupied, even though he hasn't signed in yet. She invites the cleaner to a free time-tracking seat so she can clock her hours.
What happens when a member leaves
When you remove a member, only their membership in this organization ends. Their account and memberships in other organizations stay. Their personal permission overrides go with the membership, their API keys for this organization are revoked, and the employee directory records them as having left. That record is kept because of retention duties.
The seat itself stays booked and can be filled again. An admin can't remove an owner, and the last person with the owner or admin role can't be removed, so the organization is never left without someone to manage it.
